A section championship is on the line this week as the North Hills varsity baseball team gets set to take on West Allegheny.

The two teams, currently tied atop 5A Section 3, will play one another on Monday and Tuesday this week with first place on the line. Both squads enter action this week at 6-2, so a sweep of the two-game series by either team would produce an outright champion, while a split will yield a tie for first.

The first of those two games will be a home game for North Hills at Herb Field at 4:00 on Monday. For fans who are unable to attend the game, there will be a livestream available via the Trib HSSN website beginning at 3:45.
